How I shop asos.com
ASOS.com seems to be still new to the US shoppers, everyone I recommend it to says they haven’t heard of it. Even though I see it mentioned occasionally on the blogosphere, it has nowhere near the traction that it does in the UK. ASOS is a site I’ve used for 14 years and for those wondering, ASOS stands for As Seen On Screen and the original concept was you could purchase cheaper versions of items which stars wore on the red carpet.
In recent times I’ve loved seeing the dissemination of British high street brands and websites in the US and asos.com was definitely one of those welcome openings.
My first order with asos.com was a little black dress. I had seen the dress on an English morning show and ordered it then and there. It had long black sleeves, interesting hemlines and almost shirt like front. This dress was known for some time as “The Caz Dress” and I wore this item out clubbing a lot, I met great friends in this dress and will always remember the good times that were had.
It was there my love for asos.com began. Loving their ease of ordering, their variety and willingness to cater to any budget, asos.com has always been a great place to get unique items.
But for the US customer, I think the site can be a little overwhelming and for that reason, here are my tips for shopping the beast that is asos.com
- Sign up for their newsletter – their newsletter is a great source of inspiration, ideas and a great way to shop their looks
- Search by brand – I have my go to ASOS brands and often I like to search by these brands – my favs include Oasis, River Island, New Look and ASOS’s own brand
- Search by what you are specifically looking for. Need a dress for a wedding, top for work? Use the filters on the left hand side to filter out and search for what you are looking for
However you find your pieces from ASOS, I hope these tips will help you navigate ASOS.com
